Georgia Mountains Regional Commission invites public input for update of Town of Clermont Comprehensive Plan.
GAINESVILLE – The Georgia Mountains Regional Commission (GMRC) is assisting with the update of the Town of Clermont Comprehensive Plan, the State required document that helps shape and coordinate local work programs for the community. This planning process is designed to ensure that major projects and policies for the community are developed with public input, ensuring a level of coordination between local and State level interests.
As part of this process there will be multiple opportunities for public input, beginning with the public forums on the date and time listed below. The first event will walk through the basics of the document, the planning process, and how the comprehensive plan is used to help guide community policies and programs. The subsequent meetings will review the needs and goals for Clermont and what the Town can do in preparation for the future.
In addition, there is also a brief online survey asking people to give their thoughts on select issues and priorities for the community. This survey will be accessible through April 15th, 2022, and is open to anyone with a vested interest in the area. To take the survey click the link below.
We look forward to hearing your thoughts on the future of Clermont and hope to see you at our public events. For any questions about the document or the process, please contact Adam Hazell at the GMRC as listed above.
